报告人简介:
Andrey L. Rogach is a Chair Professor of Photonics Materials at the Department of Materials Science and Engineering, and the Founding Director of the Centre for Functional Photonics at City University of Hong Kong. He received his Ph.D. in chemistry (1995) from the Belarusian State University in Minsk (Belarus), and worked as a staff scientist at the University of Hamburg (Germany) from 1995 to 2002. He has been a Visiting Professor at Nanyang Technological University of Singapore. Andrey Rogach is a Fellow of the Electromagnetic Academy (USA) and serves as an Associate Editor of ACS Nano. His research focuses on synthesis, assembly and optical spectroscopy of colloidal semiconductor and metal nanocrystals and their hybrid structures, and their use for energy-related applications. He authored over 350 scientific publications (Google Scholar h-index: 105) in these fields that have been extensively (over 36,000) cited, which ranked him 51st worldwide among “100 TOP MATERIALS SCIENTISTS OF THE PAST DECADE” by Thomson Reuters (2011).
Andrey L.Rogach是香港城市大学材料科学与工程系光子材料的讲座教授,也是功能光子学中心的创始主任。他于1995年在白俄罗斯明斯克国立大学获得化学博士学位,1995年至2002年在德国汉堡大学工作。也曾担任新加坡南洋科技大学客座教授。Andrey L.Rogach还是美国电磁学院的研究员,同时也是ACS Nano的副主编。他的研究方向是胶体半导体和金属纳米晶及其杂化结构的合成、组装和光谱,以及它们在能源方面的应用。他在这些领域发表学术论文350多篇,这些论文被引用36000余次(H影响因子:105)。他在汤姆森路透出版集团2011年统计的“过去十年的100名顶尖材料科学家”中名列全球第51位。他获委任为爱尔兰都柏林大学圣三一学院及中国电子科技大学兼职教授,并获委任为西安交通大学、吉林大学及北京大学荣誉教授。所获荣誉包括德国DAAD和洪堡学者,英国Telecom (UK, 1998) 和美国NRC COBASE (USA, 1999) Fellowships, 爱尔兰科学基金会沃尔顿奖及香港城大卓越研究成就奖(Research Excellence Award。


报告简介:
Light emitting colloidal nanostructures, which can be conveniently synthesized in solution such as the well-known example of nanocrystal quantum dots, have already found numerous applications nowadays. In this talk, I provide an overview of novel light-emitting nanostructures synthesized in our labs, which include carbon dots; perovskite nanocrystals; and copper clusters. I highlight their attractive photophysical properties studied by advanced optical spectroscopy techniques, and introduce their potential applications.
发光的胶体纳米结构由于其在溶液中合成方便,现在已经有很广泛的应用,例如纳米晶量子点。在这个报告中,我概述了在我们的实验室中合成的新型发光纳米结构,包括碳点、钙钛矿纳米晶和铜团簇。我着重介绍了它们的诱人的光物理性质,并介绍了它们的潜在应用。
